You move the bar by moving the cursor.

Your objective is to break all the boxes with the balls. You can upgrade the balls and the bar or unfortunately take a bad upgrade that makes the lava rise or puts the screen in black. Also, you can take some upgrades that sometime are good and sometimes bad, but depends on the situation.
